NEW YORK, Oct. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With a reputation for world-class immersive experiences, Lapland is now bringing its magic to immersive retail with the opening of its first-ever U.S retail concept, Lapland Store, in New York City on November 4, 2026 at 3 West 57th Street — steps from Fifth Avenue and in the heart of Manhattan's most coveted shopping district. The online store, laplandstore.com launches early October, with new pieces dropping throughout the season as the collection unfolds.

Founded in Britain in 2007 by husband-and-wife team Alison and Michael Battle, a former kindergarten teacher and financial trader, Lapland was born from a belief that childhood is precious and fleeting, and that Christmas deserves to be experienced with extraordinary imagination and care.

Over almost two decades, Lapland has reimagined the traditional Christmas experience, creating an original world around the true home of Father Christmas—better known as Santa Claus in the U.S.—with more than thirty characters, stories and traditions. Its acclaimed live experiences have welcomed more than two million believers, including the Beckhams, Elton John, Prince William and Kate Middleton, establishing Lapland as Britain's most celebrated Christmas brand.

LAPLAND STORE TAKES THAT WORLD BEYOND THE EXPERIENCE AND INTO YOUR HOME

In recent years, the Store has built a devoted following in Britain, with families making its products part of their own Christmas traditions. Its first collection arrived in the U.S. online only in 2025, with the Christmas Eve Collection selling out in just six days.

Every product begins within the story of Lapland and is designed to feel as though it has come directly from the true home of Father Christmas, combining beautiful design, exceptional quality and intricate details with a purpose within the Elven World.

“Everything we have created at Lapland began with wanting to honor the precious and fleeting years of childhood,” said Alison and Michael Battle. “To now see the world we created for our own children begin its journey to America is incredibly special. New York feels like the perfect place to begin this next chapter.”

LAPLAND STORE ARRIVES IN NEW YORK CITY

Throughout the year, Father Christmas’s Elves have been busy crafting beautiful treasures, from decorations made to last a lifetime to Christmas pajamas and wonderful toys. Now, Father Christmas is sending some of his very best Elves, and the treasures they have crafted, to a place where the Christmas spirit burns especially brightly: New York City.

Spanning approximately 3,800 square feet, the West 57th Street store will transport visitors from the bustle of the city into the wonder of the Elven World. Spectacular floristry, atmospheric lighting, and intricate details will transform the space, bringing a little of Father Christmas’s world to the heart of New York.

Visitors can explore the treasures brought from Lapland, meet the Elves who crafted them, sip authentic Lapland hot chocolate, and take a seat in Father Christmas’s chair beneath the magical Elf Hat to discover whether they have made it onto the Good List.

CHRISTMAS TREASURES FROM THE HOME OF FATHER CHRISTMAS

Lapland Store has three new hero creations for this Christmas:

  • The Lapland Advent of Belief: A magical 25-day countdown to Christmas. Behind every door is a different treasure crafted by the Elves, from beautifully illustrated stocking-book stories and soft toys to snow globes and delicious confectionery, with a new piece of the Elven World to discover each day.
  • Tree of Treasures: Created to turn decorating the Christmas tree into a treasured family tradition. Six ceramic baubles, hand-illustrated with Father Christmas and his Elves, are gold-embossed and nestled in individual keepsake tins, alongside wooden decorations and velvet bows finished with the gold Lapland ‘L’. Presented together in the Tree of Treasures Chest, these are the decorations used by the Elves to dress the trees of Lapland each Christmas, now ready for yours.
  • The Christmas Eve collection: Everything needed to make Christmas Eve as magical as can be. Beautiful 100% cotton Lapland pajamas arrive alongside a letter from Father Christmas, the Storytime Blanket, a mug and hot chocolate for gathering together, and reindeer food to sprinkle before bed.

“Every product starts with a story of where it belongs in Father Christmas’s world. Our job is to make that story believable through exceptional quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail. It has to feel as though it truly came from Lapland,” explains Matt Battle, Director of Brand & Product at Lapland.

The season runs through the end of the year, when the final chapter in Lapland's first American Christmas will close, before the doors open again for next year's story.
